Li Qiuyan emphasized that TCM is a treasure of the Chinese nation. External treatment is widely recognized for their unique therapeutic principles and remarkable effectiveness. She hoped that the trainees would apply the knowledge and skills acquired during the training to their work in Hong Kong, contributing more to the prosperity of TCM and the health of people in both regions.

Xiao Jing, the director of the Rehabilitation Medicine Department at Xiyuan Hospital and a representative of the teaching staff, pointed out that the training had enabled the trainees to see the wide application of TCM external treatments and their essential role in treating complex diseases. He encouraged the trainees to continue exploring the application of TCM external treatments in their future work and to provide better medical services to patients.

Hong Shuangshuang, the monitor and a representative of the trainees, said that the training had deepened their understanding and mastery of TCM external treatments, providing strong support for their future clinical work. After returning to Hong Kong, they would actively share the knowledge they had learned with their colleagues to jointly promote the development of TCM in the region.

The training program, which lasted for one week from May 31 to June 6, 2025, covered a wide range of topics, including an introduction to TCM external treatments, external treatments in Qigong and Tuina, TCM dermatology, applications of TCM external treatments in ophthalmology, otolaryngology, gynecology, and other departments, as well as hands-on teaching of comprehensive TCM external treatment. The training combined theory with practice, with several senior experts from Xiyuan Hospital serving as mentors. Through academic lectures, clinical observation, and practical operations, the trainees were guided to perform TCM external therapies under the guidance of TCM theory.

The successful holding of this training program provided a valuable platform for learning and communication for Hong Kong's TCM talents. It further deepened the cooperation and exchange between the mainland and Hong Kong in the field of TCM and was of great significance for promoting the inheritance and development of TCM in the region.
